Noticeboard:
Casual Sports Friday 2012: please see the FSA noticeboard in the student canteen for a sign-up list and proposed times. If there is enough demand then it is possible to choose any time between 08:00 and 20:00, excluding 13:00-15:00, which is reserved. So do go and sign up on our noticeboard, you will sign up sheet there! Alternatively, you can sign up on our google spreadsheet here. We will post the sports hall reservation list on the noticeboard when it is approved by the management of the hall.

The Sports Hall
The university has a small sports hall for students and staff. Outside the times listed below and especially after 16:00, the sports hall tends to be reserved for either the basketball teams or other students. See the timetable outside the hall or get in contact with our sports coordinator for details.

Basketball
The University have basketball teams for both sexes. Do join at the beginning of the semester to sort out your insurance and kit. You will also be given a sports license by the university! Please get in touch with the FSA for further contact details.
Women’s Basketball has started up again. These are the training times at the moment:
Tuesday 19:30
Wednesday 20:00
As soon as the season starts in earnest, they will have games on Tuesdays and continue training on Wednesdays.
Men’s basketball has also resumed and training times are as follows:
Monday 18:00
Thursday 18:30
Floorball
Floorball is for the moment a mixed-sex team and they meet up to train and play on Mondays 16:30 - 18:00.
The sports hall has also been reserved for FSA members for mixed sports. It is intended that this time can be used for football, basketball and volleyball on a more casual level. Please contact our sports coordinator, Martin Pfützner by email.

The Weights Room
The University have a small room with weights and machines that students are free to use. Here you can pump up muscles that will come in handy when you start sheep-wrestling in 3rd year. The equipment is old, but the weights are still heavy, and it was free.

Boxing
There will be a reciprocal agreement with the boxing club arranged again this semester. [Last semester we arranged that as a normal 10 visit pass boxing costs 10.000- Ft., students paid 7.500- Ft. and FSA members paid 6.500- Ft.! Thai Boxing, Kick Boxing, MMA, French Boxing and Aikido have similar price structure: 8 visit pass was 5.500- Ft. and 12 visit pass was 8.000- Ft. Students don't have to go alone! I can take people along, as I'm going myself about 3 times a week. Martin.] Please see their website for details.
Aerobics Room
The University also has a smaller aerobics room with running machines and cycling machines. Occasionally there are lessons in aerobics and belly dancing. The student who was conducting the aerobic lessons is unavailable this semester due to an ankle injury. If you are interested in conducting some classes, please get in contact with Martin Pfützner. If you would like to use this room, ask the ladies above the sports hall for the key.

Aerobics
the aerobics course is starting on Tuesday 21st February 2012. The one-hour course will run weekly on Tuesday and Thursday from 17:00. There are limited places available for that course and it cost 1.000- Ft. per occasion.
Yoga
There is a yoga class organised once a week in the aerobics room by a teacher from the McDaniel College. It runs on Tuesdays at 12:00. Apply to sign up in person before the lesson.
Salsa
Salsa lessons will be held once a week in the aerobics room. It runs on Tuesdays from 18:00 until 19:30. Apply to sign up in person before the lesson.
Extra Mural Sports
Quite a few students are involved in sports outside the university. Many of these have a majority of students on the team - contact details on Rugby, Tennis (Semmelweis) etc. to follow.
